Sowing Seeds of Hope

Our Seed Ball Making Event

Introduction:

On 26th May, our community came together for a fun and meaningful event: making seed balls! This creative activity not only brought us closer together but also helped support our local environment.

The Event:

We gathered at Swaada Cafe and got our hands dirty (literally!) as we mixed clay, soil, and seeds to create small balls that will bloom into beautiful plants and trees. Our team demonstrated the simple process, and soon everyone was rolling up their sleeves and getting creative.

The Impact:

These seed balls will be dispersed in nearby areas on the occasion of World Environment Day, promoting biodiversity and supporting local pollinators. It was amazing to see people of all ages participating and learning about the importance of sustainability.

Highlights:

· 100,000 seed balls were made, equivalent to 80,000 potential trees!

· 10 - 60 year old participants enjoyed the event, from children to seniors.

· Delicious refreshments were provided by Swaada Cafe.

Conclusion:

Our seed ball making event was a resounding success! We connected with nature and each other while making a positive impact. Stay tuned for our next community event and join us in sowing seeds of hope!
